All rights reserved.the objective of the article is to discuss the possibility of waiving the request for direct assistance in international legal cooperation in criminal matters, in the event that an investigation team is created to investigate transnational crimes. The transnationality of the joint investigation team raises concerns regarding the jurisdictional limits of its activities, as well as in relation to compliance with fair process guarantees, notably the control over the material to be obtained or produced.
