This paper describes the experience of tutoring by means of social network of the academic work Mundus Spectaculum. Comprising the online social networks and their outcomes as a natural consequence of the social character of the human being it is possible to understand them as potential tools for the extension and non-formal educational practices that emphasize the integral education of learners, collaborative and immersed beings. This paper presents a model that integrates the social network interactions, monitoring and evaluation of students on specific topics. The aim is to use learning analysis tools to gather data about the performance of students in tasks and their interactions in online community, in order to verify successful actions, potential activities for evaluation and improvement aspects for the adequacy of educational practices to these environments. The UCINET 6 software was used for mapping the social network to the project and calculation of studied indices. Therefore, this article is based on concepts related to such environments, their uses and potentiality, presenting related works and analyzing the experience of academic guidance (via Facebook). With UCINET 6 the teachers could visualize graphically all the interactions between students, regarding file uploading, postings, likes and comments. It was possible to see in which weekday the students were more active, in which subjects they were more interested and which participant was more active. Among all the subjects discussed, three stood out: conversations about the project, interesting and fun stuff on the theme of work and messages encouraging participation and courage to complete it. As a result, it may be seen a large engagement of students and teachers in the process besides interesting patterns of interaction, which extrapolated the relations in the classroom and promoted a richer practical outcome and the teachers can use all the gathering information to motivate other students in the future, with other groups and projects.
