dc.description.abstractThe leaves of Xylopia emarginata were submitted to steam distillation. The obtained essential oil was subjected to analysis by GC and GC/MS associated to 1H- and 13C-NMR spectral analysis, after chromatographic separation. The major identified components were spathulenol (34.4%) and caryophyllene oxide (25.0%). © 2005, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
