dc.description.abstract© 2017.The armed forces are inducers and consumers of Science and Technology. The objective of this research, from a case study is to describe the organizational structure of ST & I of the Navy of Brazil and present the actions taken by the Naval Administration to consolidate its innovation management. The results show that alliances made by the Navy aims to develop actions to meet objectives considered strategic; promoting investments in ST & I to reduce external dependence on technology; strengthen the field of knowledge; and increasing innovation and industrial competitiveness, seeking thereby to increase their visibility in society.
