dc.description.abstractQuasi-1D random laser action is obtained in the liquid core of a photonic crystal fiber composed of a rutile-particle suspension in a rhodamine solution. Substantial improvement in efficiency is demonstrated in this novel laser geometry. © Optical Society of America.
