All rights reserved.Contemporaneously, the law is constantly provoked to provide answers to problems inserted in the risk society, with this, the classic security paradigm is revisited, in the most diverse areas of law. In this context, science brought relevant contributions to information related to vulnerabilities and potential impacts associated with climate change. These extreme events, depending on the impacts and consequences, can turn into disasters, with relevant socioenvironmental and economic impacts. Thus, the research problem that will guide the discussion is: what are the possibilities and possible adaptation strategies to face the challenges of climate change in today's society in the context of investments, credits and insurance underwriting? Given this, the general objective is to analyze the National Climate Change Policy and its legal and environmental consequences, with special emphasis on communication and risk management and the need for robust public policies for climate protection and disaster management, taking into account Taking into account the economic-financial impacts related to extreme events or materialized disasters, causes changes in climate risk management disclosure standards, promotes more effective investment, credit and insurance underwriting decisions. The methodology used is bibliographical research, based on the analysis of literature already published in the form of books, articles and gray literature (theses, dissertations, works presented at conferences, reports, among others).
