The use of hydrogels combined with various additives in tissue regeneration, injuries and burns has been an option in anti-aging treatments. Poly (N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) based hydrogels form an effective barrier against external bacteria, although they allow the passage of oxygen and cosmetic assets because they are permeable to them. The pseudoboehmites obtained by the sol-gel process are nanoparticles with high surface area, besides having expressive absorption properties, which can adsorb large concentration of actives and these are gradually released in an aqueous medium. The aim of the study was to obtain nanoemulsion hydrogels containing pseudoboehmite, essential oil and vegetable nanoparticles carrying long-acting active ingredients without the use of preservatives. In this work, several PVP-based hydrogels (10%, 7%, 5% weight) containing nanoemulsions with palmarosa essential oil, rosehip vegetable oil, mandellic acid, hyaluronic acid and pseudoboehmite nanoparticles (1%, 3% e 5% weight) were obtained and characterized. The hydrogels were obtained by ionizing radiation with 25kGy dose. The characterization of the hydrogels was performed by visual characterization, sensory aspects, dehydration as a function of time, isothermal density with air drag, pH, density, thermal analysis, optical microscopy, skin biometric assays, UV-Vis electron spectroscopy and microscopy scanning electronics. The results showed the possibility of obtaining a cosmetic product, PVP based hydrogel containing pseudoboehmite / mandellic acid nanoemulsion, pseudoboehmite / hyaluronic acid nanoemulsion, palmarosa essential oil and rosehip vegetable oil without the use of preservatives, kept sterile by the action of ionizing radiation. The hydrogel containing rosehip vegetable oil, 3wt% pseudoboemite, 2.1wt% mandellic acid, palmarosa essential oil, 1wt% pseudoboemite and 2.1wt% hyaluronic acid was the most suitable for obtaining an anti-aging cosmetic.
