Resumo
This dissertation is about the origin and application of the Sacred Circular Dance in educational/therapeutic processes and in different contexts of human relations. The approach to humanization in the teaching/learning method concerns the performance based on the values of man, his capacity for understanding, sympathy, spirit of cooperation and consideration of subjectivity. Emphasizing the health of the individual in the integrality: body, soul and spirit. Objectiving the presentation of a theoretical data and demonstrate the praxis of the Sacred Circular Dance in the spaces of the Mackenzie Presbyterian University, thus enabling to whoever enjoyed moments with us, in addition on working, attention, motricity, memory, put them in contact with new songs, choreographies of various cultures of antiquity and contemporary. The Methodology applied was the Oral History (interviews), intertwined with documents / records, verbal and nonverbal, photos, filming resulting in a Qualitative research. Research Subjects were undergraduate and postgraduate students of the program of Education Art and History of Culture and undergraduate students of pedagogy and a psychologist, Msc. in Sciences of Religion who has been working in the clinical area for more than 25 years. Nine interviews the totality. The interpretation of the material collected followed content analysis. After three days in a row of living with the Circular Dance, in which the participants reported how surprised they had been by the internal and external mobilizations they had experienced, they said they understood that this practice could be another instrument in aiding educational-therapeutic processes, as well as the application in their personal relationships, when referring to the union / integration and to the pleasure that the practice of the Sacred Circular Dance can offer. It is possible and necessary to broaden the experience of this art of dancing and to suggest the experience with Sacred Circular Dance into academic spaces.
