Formação e atuação do orientador educacional: perspectivas interdisciplinares

Abstract

Education is not a pure area, it is hybrid, which reveals in itself and by itself its interdisciplinary character. In this scenario an indispensable professional is the educational couseler. The educational couseler is one of the professionals in he school management team. Its role is to be the mediator of all relations within the school, (student-student, student-teachers, teachers-families and schoolfamilies). This is because this professional enables the creation of spaces for dialogue and listening among all those involved in the school community. The present study aims to investigate the formation and performance of the educational couseler, in an interdisciplinary perspective. For this, a qualitative study was chosen. Nine educational couseler were interviewed and the data generated in the research were analyzed through content analysis. The results showed that the educational couseler of this sample brought different conceptions of education. They emphasized the importance of contents linked to training in psychology, in addition to the experience acquired in the daily work. There is no consensus among the participants of this sampling about the role of the educational supervisor with the school staff. The importance of working with families and a language adequate to reach everyone within the school community as diagnosed. On the knowledge needed to be an educational couseler was described by the participants the analytical listening, institutional analysis and human development, skills and abilities that are part of the psychologist's training. New studies on the work of the educational advisor must be developed as well as the militancy for an educational public policy that makes possible the insertion of this indispensable professional in all the schools of the country.
